Vmware 6.7 Cant Upload File to Vsan Certificate Error?
Cannot send a file to ESXi Datastore using vSphere Web Client
How-do-you-do,Yesterday I tried to send an ISO file to ESXi server and I got below error:The operation failed for an undetermined reason. Typically this problem occurs due to certificates that the browser does non trust. If y'all are using self-signed or custom certificates, open the URL below in a new browser tab and accept the certificate, then retry the performance. https:/
Hello to all,
Dear Rod-IT, Thanks for your efforts and time.
My problem has been solved by removing AV. Disabling AV services couldn't solve this issue, therefore I was forced to uninstall information technology from the machine.
Cheers

You also dont state what version of ESXi this is, with or without vCentre?

It looks similar you are uploading to an NFS share, perhaps a NAS, if so enable CIFS/SMB and copy it using windows straight to the NAS

Hullo there,
I'g not sure of the finer details of your setup, but hope this helps. I sometimes come up across issues with uploading to VMWare Datastores, so I've taken to, where possible, uploading using an SCP Customer (for example, WinSCP). The issues I generally see is the speed of upload for large ISOs. Uploading using an SCP customer is so much faster and more reliable.
Yous have to enable SSH access on the VMWare ESXi, and of course, information technology is wise to switch off SSH admission afterwards. I've pasted in some useful links below rather than reinventing the wheel.
Overall set of steps:
- Enable SSH (either through the ESXi host settings, or from the console of the ESXi host)
- Download an SCP customer
- Connect to the VMWare ESXi host/datastore
- Upload the ISO
- Switch off/disable SSH again
https://graspingtech.com/connect-esxi-6-5-host-using-ssh-windows/
https://graspingtech.com/transfer-files-vmware-esxi-6-v-host/
Hope it helps. Quick tip, pay close attention to the path that you're uploading to, being sure to follow the guidance and go the ISO in to the right location.

Had the same problem, your using html5, login using the non html5 option, thinks it's using wink... html5 not 100% however...

SSH and SCP are only required for uploads to local host, the OP seemed to be uploading to a remote datastore, over NFS (which for some reason they accept now revoked).
They too provided ii IP addresses, one of which I assume is the host, the other the IP for the storage, but with things unclear and the OP coming dorsum to edit their post and remove the screenshots, but not update u.s., we have but to wait for more data.

Had the aforementioned problem, your using html5, login using the non html5 option, thinks information technology'south using flash... html5 not 100% withal...
To be clear, in what version did you have issues?
not-HTML5 is called flex, formerly flash client.

I'm going to be taking a different approach, since you lot also have the other thread about Advertisement Controllers...
Check DNS beginning, as others have suggested in both threads, only too bank check the health of your physical network; notably your switches. You might have a network mistake caused by cabling, hardware or firmware. This could explain both issues.

Rod-IT, thank you for the extra info. I thought I must exist missing something where yous fabricated reference to the 2 IPs and NFS, but if the OP has edited it and i didn't see the original full postal service, that makes sense. Thank you for that

That makes no sense at all.
You never mentioned AV at the outset, nor did you reply whatsoever questions asked, and then how are people supposed to aid you if we dont know the details.
For what information technology's worth though, y'all dont get whatsoever points for awarding yourself best answer.

I encountered this in our vsphere surround, and to gear up it I opened the esxi hosts webpage that the error referenced, and accepted the certificate warning that Chrome/Firefox presented, went dorsum to vsphere and it worked

I have had this error before (vCenter / ESX half dozen.5) and had to connect directly to a host to upload a file to a datasore when i was unable to upload to the same storage via vCenter.

I take seen this earlier every bit well. If you exercise not have a proper security certificate on your hypervisors, and you lot try to upload a file through vCenter, the process fails due to the invalid certificate. Ane piece of work around, normally works, is to scan direct to the hypervisor, go the invalid certificate warning, and go along to the hypervisor. Once this is washed, retry uploading your file through vCenter.
